Founded in 2012 by chef-proprietor Julien Mercier, Aurelia was born from a simple belief: that classical French cooking, in dialogue with the finest British produce, can still surprise even the most seasoned guest.
Every morning begins at the markets — hand-dived scallops from Scotland, heritage vegetables from the Thames Valley, aged meats from trusted farmers we know by name. What arrives in the kitchen is treated with reverence and transformed with a light, modern hand.
Our brigade, led by Executive Chef Amélie Fontaine, combines Michelin-trained discipline with genuine joy. Downstairs, our cellar holds over 600 references from Burgundy, Bordeaux and the grower estates of Champagne — each chosen to make a great meal unforgettable.
